The 5th Annual Loews Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog Competition was held this weekend. Sixty-five dogs competed in the contest, in which they were judged on three points: “confidence level, length of ride and overall ability to ‘grip it and rip it.’? Winners included an Australian Kelpie, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and in the tandem category, 2 golden retrievers. All winners were awarded a vacation package, and proceeds from the event went to the San Diego Police Department. Righteous!
