This isn't new. It's been going on for longer than I have been on this earth. To us the dog is a pet. Part of the family. We would not think of
eating it. To other cultures,however, it is a food source just like a
cow or pig. In india the cow is sacred and rats are considered holy. To
eat a cow would probably horrify someone from India. Some cultures eat
bugs and grubs. But in China, eating dog is common. Chinese dog farmers believe that in a few short years, dog farms will become as prolific as those raising sheep and cattle. In Peixian for example, 300,000 dogs are slaughtered annually. Some farms raise as many as 100,000 dogs a year, most for slaughter.  To stop eating meat for most is just not gonna happen overnight, this is going to be a long process. Laws need to be passed to protect all animals no matter what they are. And they need to be harsh and acted upon if broken! Education is what is needed and also for the people to listen! We will stop this madness one day... Kindly forward this articles to your friend.
